Drawing, Pencil on Paper

This is a drawing that I created using high caliber coloured pencils on high caliber recycled paper . The drawing was very spontaneous , and felt blissful . Wonderful enlightening extensive travels inspired this piece as I created it after coming home when I was living in the hills north of Toronto . I feel that it is important for us as humans to do more of what makes us happy . This takes courage , yet it is rewarding for us and for others as well . This piece is made in reverence of the sun , and as I created it I was thinking about how the sun is connected with the growth of seeds , and I was imagining the sun as a giant seed of consciousness in the sky , inviting us as humans to awaken into our full potential to be happy , healthy , and at peace .

Amy Elizabeth Frith is a contemporary painter , multidisciplinary artist , visionary , bossbabe , coach , mentor , upcoming author , and extremely old soul . Amy grew up an hour drive north west of Toronto , Canada , on the edge of the very small town of Grand Valley Ontario , back when Grand Valley was still small enough to be called a village . Born singing in bliss in 1978 , Amy was a child of the eighties , and enjoys remembering an idyllic childhood life . Amy has fond memories of walking freely through gently rolling farm fields , wildflower meadows , and magical forests beside the beautiful Grand River , with canoes and kayaks in her backyard , where she was free to visit both sets of wonderful grandparents who lived a short walk away , whenever desired . Amy is inspired by her memories of helping her Grandma and Grandpa Bell work in their famous organic market garden . Moving into her Gran and Grandpa Friths designer dream home at age seven , named High Country Friths Castle , on the hill overlooking the village below , with a long winding gravel driveway beside the forest , across the bridge from the village , where the river served as a moat , to this day is a rich source of endless soul aligned inspiration . Amy almost lost her vision at the age of four , and is now labeled an off the charts medical miracle , because in accordance with the millions of children worldwide that have had access to cataract surgery , who’ve become adults , Amy is in the Top Two . In accordance with global statistics , it was expected that Amy might have needed a seeing eye dog by age 25 or 30 . Amy taught herself her first positive affirmation at age four , “ I WILL KEEP MY VISION . “ and has practiced it diligently every day since . Amy doesn’t take her miracle vision lightly , and therefore celebrates this miracle through her artistic expression . Amy studied art with internationally successful painters , illustrators and sculptors at the magical Kootenay School of Art and Design , when it was a cooperatively run school , in Nelson , British Columbia , and deeply enjoyed the cooperative structure seeing that as a student , she was a member of the governing body of the school , which was a deeply empowering experience .
