Balancing Act 3 Artwork

This is one in a series of four paintings that play with figures that are placed in precarious positions around the canvas. Each unique figure is connected to another by the hands or feet, all balancing against, on, or in each other. Two figures in the middle are trapped in a "box". Colors are blended where connections are made. Oil stick was used to paint and black marker used to outline and accent the figures and geometric shapes. This painting was designed to work in a vertical or horizontal format; there are four hanging options, allowing the collector to rotate the painting and find a whole new view of these friendly and playing acrobatic figures.
