About The Artwork
Achilles, one of my personal favourite artworks at the moment. Let me explain to you how i created this beauty. I started drawing on the Ipad pro, creating the round-like shapes you can find in the middle. Then i transferred the image to my computer where i opened it in Photoshop. Here the drawing continues, but with the mouse as drawing tool. So the head, arms and legs are drawn this way. You can see the difference clearly. With the mouse one can draw by making clicks and create the sharpest fine lines ever possible. Combining this techniques is what inspires me to create as much as i do and to challenge myself constantly to get better. When the digital artwork is ready, i offer my works as limited editions (see more on my profile). And i have 1 print created on high quality canvas. Then, the detailled work starts all over again, because i paint the whole image over and make it a unique and original one of a kind painting. Working on the work this way, will result in adding new things to the artwork and giving it the best look ever. In this case i have used the deepest black possible on the market now (Black 3.0, read the story, it's kinda fun). This black really is black, especially because i did 3 layers. Dominic Brown is a visual artist from Rijswijk, The Netherlands. The archaeological sites, drawings and symbols he discovers on his journeys to far away places form his primary source of inspiration. Much of his work draws on the 5000 year old murals and hieroglyphs he has visited while traveling through Egypt. His inspiration, however, is not only fueled by the Egyptian sights he has seen. Early in life, Dominic found himself inspired by the rich Turkish culture and Greek mythology. As he got older he also developed a fascination for the Mayan mysteries and Incan civilizations. He sees the eccentric masks from Africa as a way of communicating with the past. He believes that the emotion or message that an artist wanted to express many hundreds or thousands of years ago could not have been transferred more vividly than through a painting, drawing or a symbol. The lines and colors used by the artist elicit a certain emotion from the audience. With the use of his own lines and colors, Dominic, too, seeks to communicate with people throughout the world ."
