About The Artwork
Colorful abstract painting with mixed colors and texture throughout. The primary colors featured in this piece include light blue, reflective gold, dark brown, lavender, gray and white. While the underpainting is comprised of acrylic and spray paints, the primary mediums reflected in this artwork are acrylic paint and pastels. A palette knife was used throughout the work to create varying textures between colors and strokes of various colors of pastel were used to create additional interest and establish balance throughout the work. While the colorful nature of the work draws interest into the piece, a viewer may be left both in a state of intrigue and with mixed emotions due to the conflicting directional suggestions - hence the title of the work.

"I'm a fan of both experimentation and variety. Not surprisingly, my paintings often vary in theme from conceptual and meaningful, to colorful and expressive.
