Anant - In this single word lies the boundless spirit of Ganesha, captured through my play with watercolors on paper. Each brushstroke is a homage to the ancient art of stone sculpture, a craft that endures through ages. My palette of earthy tones breathes life into the deity, merging the old with the new, the divine with the earthly. This piece, 'Anant', is my ode to the eternal. It's an artwork where every detail from the carvings to the play of light and shadow is meant to evoke the timeless legacy of Ganesha. I've poured my heart into not just crafting an image, but also weaving a narrative that resonates with the observer's innermost sense of wonder and spirituality. In the last strokes of my brush, the artwork is no longer just mine but a shared experience. It's a creation that invites you to pause, reflect, and feel the presence of something larger than us all. 'Anant' is an invitation to explore the infinite stories hidden within the simplest of forms, urging us to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. In this work, I hope you find more than art; I hope you find a piece of the eternal, a touch of the divine, and a hint of the infinite stories that art tells us about our world and ourselves.

Hello! I'm Tanishka Malankar, a watercolor artist and sculpture student based in Mumbai, India. My love for art started early in my childhood, with watercolors quickly becoming my favorite medium. They allowed me to express my creativity and capture the world as I saw it. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture at Sir JJ School of Art. My art style blends realistic and expressive elements, focusing mainly on everyday objects and landscapes. One of my favorite projects was a hyperrealistic painting of dollar bills, where I really got to dive deep into the fine details. In my watercolor work, I prefer the wet on dry technique. It helps me achieve clear, crisp lines and a sense of calm in my paintings. While I haven't had the opportunity to exhibit my work yet, I'm excited about the prospect in the future. My art is a reflection of my experiences and the world around me, and I hope it allows viewers to create their own narratives and connections. As for inspiration, it often comes from the act of creating itself. There's something about the process of bringing an idea to life that's incredibly motivating. My advice to anyone starting in art is straightforward: keep practicing and be persistent. It's amazing how much you can grow and improve by just keeping at it. I'm looking forward to pursuing a master's degree in sculpting, ideally in the UK or Europe. This next step is about challenging myself, learning new techniques, and expanding my artistic skills. Whether I'm working with watercolors or clay, my goal is to create art that resonates with people, offering a glimpse into different perspectives and experiences.
