About The Artwork
Large format pastel painting. 18.5 x 24.5". Using a variety of soft and semi-hard pastels on Canson mi-teintes paper. This painting is of a group of stone-bound beech trees with evergreen corks in the background. The granite of the Montseny range is a near-perfect match for the gray trunks that rise from the rocky ground. The opening in the trees is punctuated by the scattering of boulders and the refusal of the beech leaf-fall to allow any undergrowth.
