Despite the fact that we all like to categorize people into different groups whether it's by race, sexuality, socio-economic, if someone suffers from mental illness, bipolar, or has different political views than we do - we are much more complex than that . We must dig deeper and when we do we often we find out that we can be more compassionate and empathic to people we thought we may not have liked or that we thought we may not have had anything in common with. We also often find out that the people we think are near perfect have problems much worse than our own. I choose to paint in bright vivid colors but that does not mean I do not have a dark side too.

I grew up in Laguna Beach, California and lived in Southern California most of my life, however, I am now residing half my time in North Carolina. I've been a professional artist for over 20 years, this is my full time job, it's not a back-up plan. I've shown my artwork in galleries across the United States and in Los Cabos, Mexico. In addition to my art I have published for books all sold at Barnes & Noble etc. but my true passion is painting and sculpting. I'm passionate about women's issues, equal rights, the environment and animals. Artist Statement: I often use vivid colors to feature topics with a darker undertone. Some of the subjects I paint about are: women, race, equality, politics, the environment, pop culture, power & mental illness. My work is often iconic and easily recognizable by my unique style of outlining my subjects both literally and figuratively.
