About The Artwork
This abstract ‘Bliss’ is one of my very first abstracts and I remember it came into my head whilst lying down for a rest and I had these occurring flashes repeating in my mind’s eye. It was a very inspirational moment, just as if they were fireworks going off constantly, repeatedly and so it was an image I wanted to capture and paint. The medium I used for the piece was acrylic paint and the painting itself is slightly embossed for imagery effect from repetitively layering the white paint. It has an uplifting effect, a good feel factor and is decorative at the same time. It will need some kind of framing for a complete look and hanged onto the wall. Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
