About The Artwork
Damaged Christ is from my series Releasing the Feminine, inspired by my residency in the Pugin chapel in St Leonards on Sea in 2019. The chapel had been unoccupied since the 1970s. The statue of Christ was in a corner of the building where some roof tiles were damaged and rain had dripped for years on the statue, revealing the inner construction of the figure.

I live and work near the sea in Hastings, UK. My work explores the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality. By examining the space that exists between memory and experience, I question perception with forms that teeter on the edge of recognition and alienation. Now working in series, my recent work has been produced since completing my MA in Fine Art in 2017. I regularly exhibit throughout Sussex and frequently post work in progress on Instagram.
