About The Artwork
This work is part of "The Amazonia Series' developed after a recent boat trip up the Tapajos river in the Amazonian region of Brazil. The colors for this painting were chosen from my memory of a hike in a primary forest during very heavy rainfall. The purples are the color of the acai berries that are indigenous to this area.
