Inspired by a tragic story of #catherineyoussefkassenoff, a mother of 3 girls, diagnosed with terminal cancer, victim of an abusive ex-husband and destroyed by the ruling of an unfair NY Family Court Decision that took everything from her, her kids, her home and now her life. I just wanted to show the distance between her and her children... the colors have been chosen for a reason. If sold my share will go to ShareLove fund, a charity Catherine the co-founder.

Originally from Belgium, I am a New York based figurative and abstract painter; I work essentially from pictures and/or life models. I explore abstraction in my textured backgrounds using mainly acrylics and mixed media. I paint usually half-portraits of people, figures in motion or blurry portraits as people leave prints or marks in one's lives. The abstract background leaves room for the viewer's imagination.
