California's Los Angeles has been in draught for over 6 years. Even when there is rain the landscapes are a dual green with an abundance of warm colors. There is a particular beauty in the sparsity of foliage and trees creating shapes that reach up to the sky while others review the earth from which the grew. The result is a visual play of forms with the swaying palm trees applauding like a watchful audience. This is the view from my studio porch facing west where the different color and shy lights change from morning to evening. This image is of a partly cloudy Elephant Hill, part of the Monterey Hills of Eastern Downtown Los Angeles.
