About The Artwork
The artwork was inspired the occasional irrationality of thoughts. I hope that the viewers will se it as an external view of an internal (thought) process. I chose the medium of acrylic and canvas because this is what I work in for the most part. I felt (pun intended I suppose) that the marker lines (reinforced by paint) have a certain gestural and immediate quality. I chose the style in order to convey the exactness and precision of some of the shapes interspersed with the more freeform shapes. I felt that this adequately conveys thoughts that have aspects of clarity and illogic to them.
