Female Bust Painting

The artist here returns to a familiar subject, the profile of a female figure's head, a painting almost identical to an older work called "War Paint", but more tranquil, without the two red lines on her cheek that reveal her rage. It seems like a statement, on the artist's part, that the women's rights movement is now at a better stage than it was five or ten years ago, and women who fought for equality and respect can now pause for a moment and consider the fruits of their long struggle, as well as plan their next steps in their journey towards a better world for future generations.
