The “Planets from Deep Space” series consists of minimalist portraits of extraordinary planets. Apparently out of this world, they serve as a reminder of the beauty that alludes to the farthest reaches of the universe. Planet "GTB 4” combines a duality of vibration and stability. There is a light on planet that never goes out and primary yellow colour of live force and endless energy. Planet "GTB 4" is so-called anaglyph paintings or anaglyph. It makes painting come alive when looked at through 3D glasses and make shapes either rise above or slightly sink into the surface. When the viewer puts on or takes off their anaglyph glasses, the painting plays with their visual perception, challenging viewer to enter an analogue virtual space.

Miran Kres graduated at the University of Ljubljana. He held his first group and solo exhibitions while still a student and just after graduation. For a period of time, Kres lived and worked in Amsterdam, where he received considerable attention with several notable fine arts and multimedia projects. Since his return to Slovenia, Kres has worked as a freelance artist. His media include painting, graphic art, and installation, while colour, light and space, or their psychological effect on the viewer, make up the common thread that runs through his work. Kres engages in exploration of artistic forms, with increasingly minimalist yet intensely manifested colours and shapes. He‘s aim is to present a form of sensuality beyond the confines of language, whereby the work holds the viewer in a physical dialogue via his sense of sight. His works are part of public and private collections.
