About The Artwork

(Few mythological background) Vishnu is known as "The Preserver" within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity that includes Brahma and Shiva ] In Vaishnavism tradition, Vishnu is the supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe. In the Shaktism tradition, the Goddess, or Devi, is described as one of the supreme, yet Vishnu the preserver is revered along with Shiva the destroyer and Brahma the creator. Krishna is one of his reincarnation like Buddha. Krishna is a major deity in Hinduism. He is worshipped as the eighth avatar of Vishnu and also as the supreme God in his own right He is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love and Krishna's birthday is celebrated every year by Hindus on Krishna Janmashtami according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar . He is a central character in the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata Purana, the Brahma Vaivarta Purana and the Bhagavad Gita, and is mentioned in many Hindu philosophical, theological, and mythological texts . Brahma is one of the principal deities of Hinduism, though his importance has declined in recent centuries. He is also referred to as Svayambhu (lit. 'self-born') and is associated with creation, knowledge and Vedas. He is the creator of the univers . Now as per the panting Once Lord Brahma Tried to test Shri Krishna, to know whether he is actually the supreme personality of Godhead, Para Brahma or not. So he kidnapped the children and calves of Braj and hid them in his cave which is a part of heaven . Lord Krishna, the knower of everything was unhappy due to Brahma’s misdeed, so he planned to teach a lesson to Lord Brahma. Therefore He decided to expand himself into substitute boys and calves that looked exactly like the originals, and he returned to the village with them. No one could tell the difference, but families showed increased spontaneous affection to their sons (who were actually expansions of God). Balarama, Krishna’s brother,(mythological background : Vishnu’s Snake reincarnated as brother balarama ) noticed the parents’ behavior and asked Krishna what was going on O,Lord . Krishna explained how Lord Brahma had kidnapped the real boys and calves. Brahma made a mistake in trying to test Krishna’s power. Life went on like this for a year before Brahma returned. Not to mention but by Einstein’s Theory of Relativity Brahma Loka’s time passes much more quickly, so it seemed to him only a moment. However, when he returned he was shocked to see the boys and calves playing with Krishna, as though nothing had happened.Brahma couldn’t believe his eyes and got extremely baffled. He used his divine vision and observed that stolen boys and calves were still in his lok i.e Heaven -sleeping. He again looked at Krishna and friends and calves. Completely perplexed, Brahma meditated on God and prayed to him to give him vision and knowledge to know the truth. Lord or God almighty is none other than Krishna and hence he showed him the truth. Brahma saw that all the cowherd boys and calves were actually Lord Vishnu with four hands and extreme lustrous and glittering persona. Brahma plunged in the lotus feet of Lord Krishna. He had realized his blunder mistake. He apologized. Within a moment, there were thousands of Brahmas around Krishna. Some of them had 10 heads, some had 100, some had 1000 and so on. To Brahma’s amazement, Krishna explained him that he is Brahma or creator of just one universe; there are infinite universes or there are multiverses in reality Krishna told Brahma that since Brahma was under the impression that he’s the only creator, he had summoned other Brahmas so that he could see and realise the truth and reality. Within a moment all Brahmas returned back to their respective universes as Krishna asked them to do so. . Brahma immediately got down from his swan-carrier and fell prostate at Krishna’s feet to beg forgiveness. After offering glorious prayers and penance for his behavior, Brahma circumambulated Krishna three times and returned to heaven an before that he gave all krishnas friends and cows. . None of the boys realized that a whole year had gone by and that they had been kidnapped, asleep in a cave. When the children returned to their homes and told their parents about the aghasura demon, the demon’s corpse had decomposed so the parents thought it was just a wild tale from the children’s imagination.

Hello, I am Soham Biswas ,born in 1997 . I come from a Bengali family in Kolkata which had always served as a root to my passion for art. From my childhood, I have been inspired by the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which drove me to pursue my journey in this field . My main focus and area of interests when it comes to painting is Hindu mythology and how it is being linked with our present life and society . Painting and drawing became a part of my life ever since I was a little boy and it only propelled to new heights after I started studying fine arts at Birla academy of art and culture. Through rigorous practice, I mastered the techniques of traditional art but it was contemporary art which gave me a voice of my own. Ever since that happened, I have started to see my life in a different perspective .Through contemporary art, I am able to express myself in ways I couldn’t have imagined before. I adopted contemporary art into my practices and slowly developed a style of my own.
