Soham Biswas

Hello, I am Soham Biswas ,born in 1997 . I come from a Bengali family in Kolkata which had always served as a root to my passion for art. From my childhood, I have been inspired by the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma which drove me to pursue my journey in this field . My main focus and area of interests when it comes to painting is Hindu mythology and how it is being linked with our present life and society .
Painting and drawing became a part of my life ever since I was a little boy and it only propelled to new heights after I started studying fine arts at Birla academy of art and culture. Through rigorous practice, I mastered the techniques of traditional art but it was contemporary art which gave me a voice of my own. Ever since that happened, I have started to see my life in a different perspective .Through contemporary art, I am able to express myself in ways I couldn’t have imagined before. I adopted contemporary art into my practices and slowly developed a style of my own.
