About The Artwork
I have always wanted to paint these beautiful birds with their vibrant plumes of blue and orange colors. My idea while creating this composition was to portray their colorful feathers in the best possible way I could. So I thought of a scene where two Kingfishers are poised to share a meal together, one waiting for the other, while it flies in with a plump fish fresh out of the water. This is an original watercolor painting on Arches 140 lb. cold press paper. It comes signed on the front bottom corner. Unframed painting size: 11 x 14 in.
