About The Artwork
One of the famous sights in the pleasant seaside town of Russell (Bay of Islands, New Zealand) is a most impressive specimen of Moreton Bay Fig Tree (Ficus macrophylla). It was planted in 1870 and since then has grown to spectacular size and shape. We visited the place at sunset. The soft light caused the most stunning colours to appear on the bark of the tree, which charged the multitude of intertwining structures with additional energy. This painting comes in an off-white mount.
