A confluence of red and black lines is the foundation of this piece in which a filigree of smaller lines plays a role not only within the pivotal lines themselves but also in the upper right and lower left areas they enclose. A strong focus is placed both at the lower left and upper right due to which much of the work seems to recede into the background with its own peculiar, light coloring. Dominant lines are set in counterpoint with less substantial ones which creates flow. There are several energy centers. The ‘Chinese’ one in the upper middle seems to hold on for dear life, out of fear of being washed away. The 21st century climate comes to mind that once happier consumers are now paying for. The work is printed on Hot Press Fine Art Smooth Bright White paper (an acid free, 100% cotton rag media with a bright textured finish, yielding an extremely high color gamut and black density). It is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a CoA, and shipped without hanging hardware, in a very sturdy tube protected against folding and puncture.
