I still remember this feeling when I looked at a Zao Wou Ki painting exhibited at the Centre Pompidou a few years ago. I sat there on the bench for a while, contemplating this great monochrome of blues, these brushstrokes, these wide spaces and the depth of these grey tones... In short, in my paintings I try to take you on a journey as best I can, into worlds that are both complex and governed by the elements.
