About The Artwork
This mountain, called Pedernal, and its seasonal reservoir are near the entrance to Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. The strong sunlight there makes shapes stand out in sharp relief. The varying tones of blue and violet were exciting to see. The panorama format allows me to feel the stretch of the long horizon and the vast spaces of the Southwest.
