Rain Will Stop Painting

It is Spring in the south and it has rained for months. The gray has filtered into my my core and I need sunshine and color. The only place to find it is in my studio at the end of a brush. My brush starts with the gray and moves on to the knowledge that it will not rain forever. Beneath the soggy ground the seeds and bulbs wait knowing that it is only a matter of time. My muse reassures and then corrects my human wobbles. This is painting on Yupo (plastic), mounted on cradled wood and sealed with encaustic.
