Suddenly, over the ridge we saw it, with its turquoise transparency below the canyon, naturally separating Big Bend, Texas from the sandy shore of Mexico. Smaller than imagined, it beckoned us to cross. Painted solely with palette knife using water soluble oils and no solvents, on canvas. Framed in 3 inch wood frame with gold finish.

I was born in Cuernavaca, Mexico. I live in Houston, Texas. I paint people, nature and scenes that capture serenity and strength. I use strong color, composition and texture striving to preserve the calm, force and expression of the moment. My favorite mediums are, first oils but also acrylics, watercolors, and colored pencil. My contribution towards a smaller footprint comes in the visual conservation of my subject via paint on canvas with the use of solvent-free paints and brushless work.
