About The Artwork
Star is messy but uniformed with a blot pattern. The resin on this block gives it a yellow aged tinge. Star received a certain amount of inspiration from Jasper Johns. Building Blocks are constructed using discarded scaffolding wood cut to individual 15.5cm X 22cm blocks. Resin, existing metal, and acrylics are also utilized before the blocks hang flush against a wall. Building Blocks adapt to space and environment; they can be displayed on their own to express the singularity of an idea or grouped together to create a much larger work.
