About The Artwork

Painted at Kynance Cove Cornwall during a late September afternoon, with a fresh wind threatening rain later in the day. The Rock Stacks on the far side of the beach, known locally as The Bishop, Gull Rock and Sugar Loaf, are frequently accessible. On the day of my painting this obviously was not the case, although I personally feel that the undeniable drama of Kynance is always more successfully captured in my paintings during wild weather conditions.
