About The Artwork
This is a mixed media painting inspired by a walk I took along Shore Road in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The trees seemed to be sparkling in the sun. I found the framed rattan in the street and immediately thought it would fit the scene perfectly. I stripped the material from its backing and relined it with masonite. The painting was done using acrylic paint and ink. The wooden fence was then added.
