About The Artwork

The Powder Hole is a place in North East Pa. that was one of my favorite places as a teenager. Out on a windy road , a small hike into the beautiful woods of Pa. there is an old tressle left over from the coal mining days over a huge waterfall. I guess it was a traintrack bridge used to transport coal cars. People would jump off the tressle into the very deep water at the bottom of the waterfall. There are also the remains of some old buildings mine buildings. This is where I hung out with my best friends, the best friends I ever had ! It is one of my Rorschach type paintings where I find beauty in a balanced mess.
