About The Artwork
The Yoruba culture is inspirational because of the many occasion and opportunities that is presented with dance and the joy of being able to move to music. Dances are used at times of celebration and those that can not be classified as celebration. I intend to stir up great reasons for the viewer to dance and enjoy the gift of life. Dance is spontaneous yet with a plan to execute at the slightest impulse, hence the use of acrylic for it's fast and active drying time. The lady in flowing dress is a great way to show the thrill, painted with impressionist.
