Painted en plein air in an autumn field in the mountains of Topanga. There was something pristine and mysterious about the untouched grasses and scrub, dried and faded to a golden color in the sun. Painted on Arches 140 lb paper. The image is 11 x 17 inches on an approximately 17 x 23 sheet. The edges are hand torn.
