The 1951 novel "Day of the Triffids" by John Wyndham had me mortally terrified as a child. The idea of mobile and carnivorous plants was just too enthralling. I decided to try and capture what the blossoms of such a plant might resemble in this abstract acrylic work on 2 canvas panels. .
