Lesleyann Hawthorn

My name is Lesleyann and I have been painting in watercolors since the early 1980's, mainly as a hobby. More recently, I have retired from my position as Professor of Oncology and have been fortunate to be able to devote more time to the development of my art style. I live in Georgia with my husband and two giant breed rescue dogs.

I have no formal art training, however I did take night classes over 3 years under the direction of the the artist Thomas Needham. He has had a profound influence on my style as a watercolor artist.

My painting "Cosmic Storm" was selected to exhibit in Fusion Art 4th Annual Women's Exhibition 2021

• "Storm over the Pier" recently won 1st place in the Contemporary Art Gallery Online, All Color Competition 2021.

• I was chosen by Art Show International as a solo artist of the month. 2022.
