Two cans & a Crow with paper Painting

'Two cans & a crow on paper', is an extension of a silkscreen print edition I am making. The image relates to the mock-up of the original print concept where I glued together sheets of paper that held the images to form the whole. The idea stems from an original pencil drawing of Coke cans, drawn in 1973. I rediscovered several old drawings relating to Coke cans from this period while browsing through an old portfolio in my attic. I found them to be enticing and immediately resolved to turn them into silkscreen prints thus bring part of my past back to life. Since then I have made four original screen prints from these drawings. The crow was added from a illustration I made for a book of poems 'Another part of me, revisited' available on Amazon under my full name of Lawrence Douglas Davis. This is how art is made as one project extends itself into another field of expression and artistic endeavour.
