White River Painting

I want my viewer to think of islands and the waterways that connect yet divide them. Making the division white draws the eye to its flow throughout the composition with small eddies of current represented with the black. Red, pink, and green versus yellow and purple keep the colors of my island vivid. This is painted on what I call Wine Paper (the paperboard used in cases of wine). I used this for its ability to hold a great deal of paint, its texture, and to reduce what I send to the landfill. Upcycled art has many appearances and I want this Wine Paper collection to demonstrate the possibilities of using alternative mediums and styles. Additionally, I have placed this piece in a refurbished wooden frame.
