About The Artwork
These two fit perfectly into the composition, evoking a feeling of contentedness.Their stripes were painted in a beautiful shade - Daniel Smith's Lunar Blue; a colour that has a lovely granulating quality. Set against the white stripes, it sparkles as a speckled lighter blue peeps out of darker overtones in an unpredictable fashion. I have kept the background very light; it is just a faint glow of mixed colours offsetting the two Zebras. Animal from Africa are my favourite subject, zebras being one of them.Their stripes have a magical impact on the composition. giving it energy and momentum. The painting has been done on Fabriano paper, using best quality Daniel Smith paints.
