"The bag does it" My anti-racist picture. With what is happening around me, I would have to paint it. The bag is the one that decides. Whoever has it wins. And who has it mostly? Probably white? Or the white one? Without having to do anything for it. The basic bag. The bag that tells us who is better. From the beginning. A white person is born with a small bag without any effort. It's been like that for a long time. Almost always. The white master and the black servant or even slave. Otherwise we're all pretty much the same. Like the women in the picture. Imagine they are the same color. So the bag makes the difference. The bag means power, wealth and prosperity, good school, access to the health system and much more. You can look around the picture and look for further symbols and information. One will discover the bloody path that always accompanies us on the subject of racism. You might also discover the warm but poor south and the cold but rich north. Perhaps one will also discover traces of one in the other; the traces that the hopeless attempts to rebalance show us. I try to think about it, but I will never fully understand ...

I was born in 1965 in Zory Silesia (Poland). Painting I am an autodidact. I paint since the eighties. I paint the world round myself in my symbolic way - people with everyday problems and worries. I try to lure the viewer and his imagination and fantasy. I want him to recognize himself or well known things in my works. I think that the figures in my pictures speak their own languages - understandable in many different, individual ways. In 1989 from Poland to Germany emigrated, where I live and work until today.
