I have been studying facial expressions with minimal movement, just eyes and mouth perhaps, by drawing rather large faces on litoposters and colouring them with watercolour and colour pencils. She is calm with some kind of defiance in her eyes, even aggression underneath the composed appearance. Perhaps it is the red beret - red as a colour is strong, dominating, and a beret bears connection to military... The litoposter and all colours are of highest professional quality.
