About The Artwork
Borough Market 2018 is one of a number of studies I've made of a Market near London Bridge that has existed in one form or another for around a thousand years. The image is the end product of a photographic technique that combines composite images of the subject created in a medium format camera, with post-production techniques that add elements from other images of the same subject in different parts of the site. The result is a composite image that expresses the essence of the location while creating the appearance of a physical space that does not actually exist.
