An image I took of a not so well known torii gate at lake Ashi in Hakone. The much more famous gate at Hakone shrine became so famous on Instagram during the last couple of years that it's always infested with tourists from all over the world. It became really difficult to photograph or even just to visit. This little gate on the other hand is located at a much less accessible location on the north shore of the lake, it's not so visited, and this makes it the perfect spot to enjoy some time alone in this area. I was planning to visit on a much more dramatic day (concerning the weather), but I ended up liking the result anyway, even if I shot this on a really sunny day. Sometimes just being there is the biggest reward, photography is just the cherry on top. The original is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm 100% Cotton white satin-finish paper and manually signed at the bottom.
