Luke Skywalker was a sculpture in Atlantis - Limited Edition 1 of 30 Photograph

It's been several years I have been working with original ancient Hellenistic Sculpture. My original body of work was called Born in Stone which was exhibited at The National Archaeological Museum in Athens. Currently that work has morphed into The Lost Survivors of Atlantis. So, today I got inspired again when I came across this image. I heard Yoda saying... Luke Skywalker it is! so I followed my instincts and completed this image.. I created this image using my own eyes and upon putting my eyes into the sculpture I immediately thought OMG this looks like Luke Skywalker. He deserves his position in world culture. Of course after making it, I wished that what I would really like is to have used the eyes of the actor Mark Hamill who plays him in the movie. What I like about this is that on occasion I have found numerous times some of these ancient sculptures look like living people today. I have seen Mark Zuckerberg and Robert Redford so far. This work also addresses Reincarnation and The Lost City of Atlantis which has thrilled almost everyone upon hearing about it. My belief is that back in those mysterious times of Atlantis they created sculptures that had real life looking eyes. I hope someone buys this so that I can complete my show for the Archaeological Museum in Athens. And if you do, May the force be with you!
