About The Artwork

This photograph is from my long-term project of documenting the traditional and rough lifestyle of the wranglers of the Hortobagy region in Hungary. They work long hours with horses, living a half-nomadic life out in the "puszta", the huge fields of Eastern Hungary. This lifestyle and work is often inherited from father to son.

Award-winning photographer from Budapest, Hungary, focusing on folklore, cultural heritage and visual storytelling. In love with folklore and cultural heritage as well as the often invisible or unknown life(style) of communities. My cultural heritage-related works have been published numerous times in National Geographic and NatGeo Travel, VICE Media, La Societé and many more online and print media. Currently working on a long-term cultural project in the Carpathian basin region (Central and Eastern Europe). The project focuses on the slowly disappearing traditional rural shepherd lifestyle.
