About The Artwork
I had to wait for the right weather to make this image. I've been photographing the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station since 2019. It's architecture is shown to best effect under harsh direct winter lighting, similar to the effect of a bare strobe head. The structure lay derelict for years, but was saved by thoughtful redevelopment that has not only brought the building back into use, but opened it to public access.
