This image is entitled ‘Surf's Down’. It's Winter, and the surfers and sun worshippers that provide this beach cafe with its livelihood are no where to be seen. I love the charm that comes with out of season locations, the lack of the essential human energy that brings these places to life is so clearly evident when I shot this image. Is it a scene you would want to step into or is it just too lacking in the vital human element? Produced in Spain, this image was captured using a Mamiya 7B medium-format film camera. ‘Surf's Down’ is sold unframed, the size of the actual printed image of this artwork is 42.8" x 20.8” This print comes with a 2” white border on which the artists signature features on the lower right hand corner. Printed on exhibition quality Premium Matte photographic paper, signed and numbered by the artist, this artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity. Your print will be shipped rolled securely inside a shipping tube.

Photography; it's THE most fantastic medium, I adore it, and I hope this is evident in my work. Born near Winchester in the UK, I've been a resident of London for most of the past three decades. Since June 1983 - when I spent my entire first salary on my first SLR camera - photography has been an intrinsic part of both my life and of who I am. Photography it isn't just about taking great imagery, importantly, it has made me intimately aware of the world around us. As an art-form, photography creates an enormous opportunity to tell a story. Not only can I explore the present, but through montage techniques, as is evident through my exhibition 'Recovering The Past', it enables me to link the past with the present. As an artist, this gives me the opportunity to explore almost anything imaginable. Photography never ceases to excite me, I very much hope that my work does so to you too.
