Photography; it's THE most fantastic medium, I adore it, and I hope this is evident in my work.

Born near Winchester in the UK, I've been a resident of London for most of the past three decades. Since June 1983 - when I spent my entire first salary on my first SLR camera - photography has been an intrinsic part of both my life and of who I am.

I've spent over three decades spent working as a professional photographer, on commissions in nearly 40 countries worldwide.

Photography it isn't just about taking great imagery, importantly, it has made me intimately aware of the world around us.

As an art-form, photography creates an enormous opportunity to tell a story. Not only can I explore the present, but through montage techniques, as is evident through my exhibition 'Recovering The Past', it enables me to link the past with the present. As an artist, this gives me the opportunity to explore almost anything imaginable.

Photography never ceases to excite me, I very much hope that my work does so to you too.

In 1989, I left the design office and an established career as a draughtsman behind for three years study at the eminent Blackpool and The Fylde Photographic college, widely regarded as one of the best commercial photography courses in the world. I graduated with an HND and PQE in professional photography.

Recovering The Past

In 2011 I embarked on the production of a project entitled 'Recovering The Past'. Seven intense years of development has produced an internationally displayed, conceptual project which explores the less-appreciated 'long-term social and physical consequences of war'. This standalone multi-layered exhibition breaks new grounds with its recognition of wars' consequences.

In December 2015 the work was commissioned by the Belgian government for display at the Palais Des Nations, Geneva. In 2017 - and for a period of 6 months - Recovering The Past was commissioned as a component of Belgium's national centenary commemorations to the First World War. More recently, the work has enjoyed a 23 venue, nationwide tour of Australia; this enviable tour is likely the longest continuous tour of an exhibition in Australian history.
