About The Artwork

Description: Kinzie Street railroad bridge is a single leaf bascule bridge across the north branch of the Chicago River in downtown Chicago. At the time of its opening in 1908 it was the world's longest and heaviest bascule bridge. Previous bridges on the same site included the first bridge to cross the Chicago River, Chicago's first railroad bridge, and one of first all-steel bridges in the United States. The bridge has been unused since 2000, and it was designated a Chicago Landmark in 2007.Medium: Digital PhotographYear Created: 2009

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

As a photographer born and raised in the City of Chicago, a living architectural museum, I'm continually surrounded by every conceivable style of architecture. With that as my inspiration I set out to isolate the elegant patterns found within the facades and interiors of architecture and public art and invite you to take a look at my "Different View" of these historic and innovative structures. I've recently (2022) relocated to Dallas, Texas and will continue my photography in this new location.
