This photo is a rare jewel in my XINGU collection. Dating back to 1985, it holds within itself the flame of a unique experience I had while spending forty days immersed in the "Yuwalapity" indigenous tribe, hidden in the pulsating heart of the Forest. Ah, but make no mistake, getting there is no easy task! You need a special authorization from the Federal Government, granted by FUNAI - Fundação Nacional do Índio. And in this deep dive into indigenous culture, my existence found a home in ancestral traditions, experiencing each moment as a sacred encounter. There, I shared meals, slept and lived in an immersive way with these fascinating people. Through this image frozen in time, we open the doors to a universe of unexplored stories, it is an invitation for our hearts to open before the grandeur of the ancestral wisdom that permeates the still virgin forest. And in the delicate dance between light and shadow, my camera became a sacred instrument, and each click is a reverence to the beauty and resilience of these people!
