About The Artwork

This monoprint with Chine collé is a unique work from my From Paintings in Proust Series. It is meant give an uplifting feeling. The central image is a repro of a photo I'd taken at the Monet Gardens, Gverny, France. My monoprints with Chine collé are unique not only because they are one of a kind, but because of my treatment of the many layers of collé (collage) papers that cover the entire print with a painterly array of colors. The papers are hand painted and then printed form the collograph dimensional plate.
