Carved from a single piece of Walnut. The Imperfection series explore the limits of the wood. They also test my skill as a carver. The flowing organic curves and spirals in the work are deliberately tactile.

Paul Wood is an English Sculptor now back on the Greek island of Corfu after several years working as Stonemason in Germany. He makes hand carved sculptures in wood and stone, prefering to work with locally found materials. Often these materials are from recycled sources. His work is mainly figurative, and explores the sensual nature of both the material and the human body.
