Minerva 2011 Sculpture

In my artistic laboratory i had a piece of stone that is part of the sculpture. This piece of stone aroused in me a strong attraction and interest. I have, in respect of the fragment, a strong attraction and interest. So I began to study it and to work on it. The sculpture was a work in progress, as often happens in my work. Arrival at the end of the creative process and work when I hear that the'opera and the composition works: it is complete in all its parts and in its entirety. Looking at the'work completed, I felt that this, I drew, I raised the memory of an ancient roman divinities: Minerva. The goddess of wisdom and patroness of the artisanal industriousness. Unconsciously, perhaps, I have revisited this ancient divinity, rappresentandola with a contemporary language and therefore also the abstract and having created in'Year 2011,'i call "Minerva 2011".
