Missing Tooth #2 Sculpture

This is one of the artist's conceptual works after Duchamp's ready mades & Damien Hirst's "Physical Impossibility of Death...". Taken to the next level this work comes from his series which includes "Fight or Flight", "till Death Do Us Part" as well as his "Heavy Metal Denim Suit" project. In which the artist turns everyday object used through out his life into Fine Art. The idea behind these works is that in some such objects, such as his heavy bag gloves or a tooth in this case, there is more of artists "life essence"/DNA then any work he could ever create. Therefore when these objects no longer serve their use they become art. Why? because it is an artist's life that makes an art work ART not the art itself. It is the journey they took to create their body of work that enamours us. As such objects used everyday become something extraordinary. Especially when displayed with proper aesthetics. So after a number of training accidents and a sucker punch in a real physical altercation the artist lost his front teeth. As Combat training was a huge part of his life the artist decided to commemorate the event with a work of art. The original intent was to have 2 Missing tooth 1 & 2 unfortunately Missing tooth #1 has gone MISSING Leaving only on tooth appropriately named MISSING TOOTH # 2. It is guaranteed this is missing tooth # 2 as both teeth where lost in separate battles.... the work is signed on the back by the artist .
